I’ve been meaning to pull out our external hard drive for awhile to look up some pictures. One of my favorite things about taking pictures, and especially sharing them with others, is marveling at how much changes in a few short years. Here’s a recap of my Mother’s Days as a mom… I can truly say I’ve never been happier to hold any title.
holidays
parks, parks. we love parks.
I am always looking for something free or cheap to do outside with the boys. This time of year we can find lots of places to go. My favorite things about living where we do include proximity to Indianapolis (15-20 minute drive to the heart of downtown on a good traffic day), great local restaurants and other businesses, and of course, the abundance of parks nearby.
Friday afternoon when I picked up the boys, it was obvious that rain was coming. We stopped at one of our favorite parks on the way home. It’s special to me because it was built with all kinds of kids in mind. It’s wheelchair accessible, brand new, rarely busy, and just the right size. It has plenty for the boys to do but isn’t so spread out that I lose sight of one of them if they go separate ways. When it’s hot out, there are fun water features. Additionally, because it’s wheelchair accessible, the playground area has that rubbery flooring stuff which means it’s never muddy.
Easter 2014
As always, I love looking back at the posts I do annually to see how the boys have changed. So bittersweet to see their baby faces.
Easter 2013
Easter 2012
I can’t find a blog post about Easter 2011 when I was 8+ months pregnant with Dexter. I know I have pictures on the external hard drive but don’t feel like dragging it out right now. Bummer.
Anyway. We went to Cincinnati for the dual purposes of celebrating my nephew Spencer’s 9th birthday as well as Easter. The weather was so perfect, I could not have asked for better. My little fall and injury was the only downer to the entire weekend. We enjoyed great family time, amazing food, and the boys weren’t half bad considering they were getting no naps and far fewer hours of sleep each night than what they are used to at home.
